Lingerie shops for larger or plus size women? Where do you buy your bras and lingerie if you’re a larger woman? Some stores will carry a few lines but I’ve found that going online can be your best bet.
One of my friends coined a term and described my size as an “in-betweenie” – not a size 2 but not a size 20. Sometimes I can wear a size 12 or a 1X. Are you like me? Do you have trouble finding clothes (and lingerie) that works for you because of our limbo? I’ve compiled a list of online shops that cater to women’s sizes and they may work for you!
Lingerie Shops for Larger Women
(In no particular order…)
Big Girls Bras – Right to the point! They carry a ton of brands including Anita, Glamorise and Terri. There are some bedroom-y products here but I can’t find actual reviews. (They’re just ranked by stars. Case in point: this open bust teddy has five stars but we don’t see actual review.)
HauteFlair – This site has a higher price point than other bra shops online. They’ve curated a selection of plus size lingerie that hugs the curves and flatters a larger figure.
HerRoom – My favorite shop so far – it’s got lingerie, bras, swimwear – and tons of sales all the time. What I also like is that they have silhouettes to show you how an actual bra looks under different types of shirts – v-necks, scoop necks, button downs, etc. Here’s an example with this padded bra – hover to the left side.
Hips & Curves – A site dedicated to plus-size lingerie, sizes 10-28! I’ve had friends who swear by this site, especially post-baby body.
Lavinia Lingerie – Some of their plus bras are sexy and… *drum roll* have three hook and eyes!! I wish other brands would take note and add that third hook and eye for more support. This shelf bra is on sale for $20 and actually looks supportive for the boobs.
Leading Lady – If you want more than body armor bras, this is the place to try out! They even have maternity bras and nursing bras, a big plus especially if you’re looking for stylish post-baby bras for your new mom boobs.
Lingerie Mart – Based in Atlanta, Georgia, this site also has a brick and mortar store! It looks like a giant warehouse of bras, panties and lingerie. Online, they separated their bras into two large size groups – A-M and DD-M. They seem to have stats on plus size lingerie market being the fastest growing customer base. I believe it. We are in a time of being body positive and all inclusive.
Trusst Lingerie – Their supportive bras are made without underwire! The Jessica bra has five (5!!) hook and eye closures! One customer said it was the Holy Grail of bras – well, it just may be.
